Winterization

Boat winterization is a crucial part of boat ownership and can prevent costly damage from ice jacking and expansion during the freezing months of winter. Without a de-icer or ice eater, your dock, boat, slip or marina are vulnerable to the harsh elements of winter. Additionally, De-icers and ice eaters can protect fish and other aquatic species in winter by creating ice free areas that allow oxygen to enter the water.

We offer De-Icers made by Kasco and Taylor made and Ice-Eaters by The Power House Inc. These units consist of a small but powerful motor that drives a propeller which agitates the water, drawing warmer water from beneath the surface, mixing it with the colder surface water. This water movement not only prevents ice from forming but can also help melt existing ice.
